About the Author

Ellen Meredith has been working with and channeling for the group of entities who call themselves, “the Council”, for nearly twenty years. She received her initial and primary training in spiritual work from them, and has deepened her personal practice through the use of Insight Meditation (Buddhist, Vipassana practice), and goddess-focussed ritual, as well as through creative writing, and hands-on healing work.

Since 1984, Ellen has worked professionally as a spiritual counselor and healer. With over 1500 clients in the U.S. and abroad, she has helped individuals to hear their own inner teachers, worked with chronically ill clients, and taught courses in spiritual development and healing. For several years she was adjunct faculty at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California, advising master’s thesis writers and teaching graduate-level courses in the Department of Consciousness Studies. A three-year visit to Geneva, Switzerland offered her the opportunity to write the book, Listening In: Dialogues with the Wiser Self.

Ellen has a Doctor of Arts degree in Writing and the Teaching of Writing from the University of Michigan. She won two major Hopwood Awards for a novel and short fiction, and received writing residency grants from the Edna St. Vincent Millay colony and the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of Taos, New Mexico.

Ellen lives in San Diego, California, where she has a practice offering both channeling and Energy Medicine services. Ellen is a certified Eden Energy Medicine practitioner and a certified Medical Intuitive. She offers individual consultations in person and via phone or Skype.
