Since 1984, Ellen has worked professionally as a spiritual counselor and healer. With over 1500 clients in the U.S. and abroad, she has helped individuals to hear their own inner teachers, worked with chronically ill clients, and taught courses in spiritual development and healing. For several years she was adjunct faculty at John F. Kennedy University in Orinda, California, advising masters thesis writers and teaching graduate-level courses in the Department of Consciousness Studies. A three-year visit to Geneva, Switzerland offered her the opportunity to write the book, Listening In: Dialogues with the Wiser Self.
Ellen has a Doctor of Arts degree in Writing and the Teaching of Writing from the University of Michigan. She won two major Hopwood Awards for a novel and short fiction, and received writing residency grants from the Edna St. Vincent Millay colony and the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of Taos, New Mexico.
At the present time, Ellen lives in Victoria, BC, Canada, with her partner and two gray cats. She is working part time for an international advocacy group promoting the welfare of young children in developing countries. She also offers individual consultations (psychic, channeled readings).
